Research News: New publication on the VASCERN European Reference Network

We are pleased to report that an article titled The VASCERN European Reference Network: An Overview, published in the European Journal of Medical Genetics is now open access. It is co-authored by Prof. Guillaume Jondeau (VASCERN Coordinator), Julie Hallac, Marine Hurard, Natasha Barr, Karen Daoud, and Ibrahim Donmez.

VASCERN is the European Reference Network for rare multisystemic vascular diseases, which was founded in 2017 and is co-funded by the European Commission. Its goal is to improve and harmonize care for patients with rare multisystemic vascular diseases across Europe. This publication focuses on the network’s main accomplishments in its first four years and the challenges it still faces.

This review also highlights how VASCERN has built a strong network of recognized international experts and passionate patient advocates in the various diseases it covers, as well as formed partnerships with many international organizations.
